Sammy’s is the best pizza this side of Chicago. It reminds me of the pizzas I ate growing up on Chicago’s South Side. The staff is great, the service is very good, and the food is excellent.

I know I must have reviewed this before. Perhaps Google deletes them after a few years. West Duluth Sammy’s is the best Sammy’s. I think I’ve been to all of them, across the country, certainly in MN, and this one is the best. I’ve been eating the pepperoni and sausage since I was a kid. When I get back to Duluth, our first stop is always west Duluth Sammy’s. The sausage they use on their pizza, there’s nothing like it anywhere. Even if you think you don’t like sausage, you have to get the sausage. It’s real Italian sausage. The crust at west Duluth Sammy’s is the best. Light, crumbly. Perfect. I just stopped by again last weekend and was shocked to see my review from many years ago is no longer on here. So here is my new review. Go now to any Sammy’s if you like pizza. Go to west Duluth Sammy’s if you want the best pizza. While we were there we also tried the breaded wings. Absolutely delicious. The breaded wings dunked in some Sammy’s red sauce was great. I’ll definitely be ordering it again. Go now to Sammy’s!

Sammy’s Pizza is an institution! I live over 100 miles from here, but whenever I’m in Duluth, Sammy’s is a required stop. They have outstanding pizza, very friendly and helpful staff. Eat in, take out, have it delivered, or bring home some frozen Sammy’s Pizza. You won’t be disappointed. They have a lunch buffet on weekdays if you happen to be available and want to sample what they have to offer. Salad bar is good and pasta is usually available as well. I’m very partial to the special pizzas with sausage. It’s amazing, give it a try at any of their locations. If your staying in town they deliver to the local hotels too.

Pretty gazz pizza. The service was great and everyone super friendly. We got the pesto pizza and it was very good all around. A cheezy pizza, the pizza bottom was a little flimsy; not hard or dry and the crust was perfect and flaky. We got some spaghetti and fettuccine Alfredo . I have to say the spaghetti was kind of mid and the fettuccine too. Just seemed like the sauces weren’t quality.

Sammy's is a classic and this location really says "Downtown Duluth.". The food quality was excellent and the service was also very good. As the kids and I were reading about the history of Sammy's on the board near the door, we heard a gentleman from behind the counter say, "That was my grandfather.". He went on to share stories about his family and their history with Sammy's. This is the kind of place that is worthy of support. They earned it, and long live Sammy's.

Stopped in after Bentlyville. Everyone was very inviting and happy to see us. The waiter was great. Food was delicious. We had the garlic bread and the chicken bacon ranch pizza. We'll definitely be back. Thanks again

On Black Friday evening we ordered a 16” pepperoni, sausage, mushroom and extra cheese pizza. The crust is super crispy and cut with one piece of sausage on every slice. This is pizza heaven!
